Established in 2004, the High Meadows Fund (HMF) is an endowed philanthropic fund dedicated to better lives for Vermonters through a clean environment. The HMF is a supporting organization of the Vermont Community Foundation (VCF).
The Fund's overall mission is to support environmental outcomes that positively impact Vermont's landscape and the livelihoods and quality of life of its residents. At the present time the HMF has three primary focus areas: reducing reliance on fossil fuels and encouraging renewable energy; promoting sound stewardship of Vermont's landscape through effective land use and land use planning; and supporting the development of small-scale agricultural enterprise and local food systems.
The Fund is managed by a seven member board of directors, with administrative and technical support provided by the Vermont Community Foundation. We seek to maintain a culture of collaboration, teamwork and inclusiveness in dealings with the organizations we support.
